About the Test
MindStreams® requires only a computer - an optional input device further simplifies the patient experience.

What is MindStreams®?

MindStreams® is an advanced computerized cognitive testing service that revolutionizes the assessment and treatment of your patient’s cognitive health.

Why choose MindStreams®?

Unlike many in-office, non-computerized methods of cognitive assessment, MindStreams® will allow a medical professional to assess and treat cognitive deficits earlier in the disease state, before a patient’s disease has progressed too far. It enables medical professionals to track and optimize the disease management approach.

How do medical professionals use MindStreams®?

After an initial patient interview, a medical professional orders a MindStreams® testing session. MindStreams® is then administered by a technician and the results are delivered immediately to the medical professional at the end of the testing session. What is the patient experience like?

The test is very patient-friendly and requires little orientation. Although the test is performed on a computer, it does not require the patient to know how to use one. Testing time ranges from 12 to 60 minutes, depending on the tests selected. Who administers MindStreams®?

Mindsteams can be easily administered by practically any medical technician on your staff (MindStreams® staff will train this person). Since MindStreams® is a computerized test, the computer does all of the testing and records all data. The technician simply makes sure that the patient understands the test and that it is administered properly.

What training is provided with MindStreams®?

We provide training for both test supervisors and medical professionals. The test supervisor will be trained on how to order and run a MindStreams® test session. The medical professional receives training on the science behind MindStreams®, how to read and interpret the different aspects of the assessment report, and how to use the report to formulate an impression.

How exactly does MindStreams® measure cognitive function?

MindStreams® assesses the patient’s cognitive function by precisely measuring the patient’s performance on a series of interactive tests – revealing both the accuracy of the responses and the patient’s cognitive function by measuring the reaction times in milliseconds. Then, using advanced computerized algorithms MindStreams® generates the results in comparison to that patient’s “normative” peer group (i.e., age and education level).

How are the results delivered?

The results are seamlessly delivered from the MindStreams® software to your test supervisor within seconds of the completion of the tests. The tests can be saved as a PDF file for your health records system, emailed to the physician, or simply printed out and placed in the medical chart for review.

In what format are the test results presented?

The results are delivered in a patented comprehensive, easy-to-read, and easy-to-understand format. Click here to read more about our industry-leading reporting.
