Brain MRI Imaging Study Uses MindStreams® to Show Areas of the Brain that Are Affected in Aging

Most people forget names and places as they get older – this is generally thought to be a consequence of normal aging. However, there is wide variation among people with regard to the type and severity of memory and other cognitive complaints. In a new study published in the April 15, 2010 issue of NeuroImage, Dr. Y. Assaf and coauthors used a sophisticated MRI imaging technique in correlation with MindStreams® to evaluate brain regions that are affected by memory loss in aging. This study relied upon the richness and precision of the MindStreams® cognitive scores to expand our knowledge of brain changes that contribute to the ‘forgetfulness’ most people experience.
